Our Preschool
Our Preschool
Established in 2014, Ké Steps Preschool has been located in the St.Anns area providing quality, flexible childcare for children and families within the community with the focus being on providing high-quality service and educational experiences.
We aim to create an environment that supports children's development and supports their natural desire to explore and question the world.
Learning is encouraged by child-led and structured activities.
We provide a safe and stimulating environment that is centred around the likes and interests of children. Quality Childcare and Education is what all children deserve, and means that we follow a Child-centred approach, where children’s well-being will always be paramount.
Staff are recruited with qualifications and experience in Early years so that planning is enjoyable, supporting children's play.
Our Mission
is to support children at the earliest stage of their journey to be happy, kind, self-confident, and successful .
Our Mission
is to support children at the earliest stage of their journey to be happy, kind, self-confident, and successful .
Early years is so much more than childcare, we are committed to creating a culture of joy and freedom to explore.
We aim to:
• Create a happy and stimulating environment where children are kept safe and have access to a range of activities that they can access freely.
• Help children develop an understanding of responsibility for themselves and their actions, supporting them to become independent, competent and confident individuals
• Encourage children to have a positive attitude and respect for both themselves and other people
• Foster a positive relationship with parents and carers on a daily basis and throughout their child's placement to ensure that teaching and learning is consistent and continuous for the child.
• Adopt inclusive practices which include working with other agencies to support the needs of each family and child in achieving the best possible outcomes for their life long learning.

Our Preschool Journey
Our Preschool Journey
It has been a privilege over the last decade to work with the families, schools and professionals in St.Anns and we are extremely proud to have supported the many children we have worked with. We have seen children go up to school, ready and able to continue on the journey of learning equipped with all of the skills necessary to get the most from their primary education.
As a setting, we have worked hard to ensure that children and staff have a great environment where they can all develop and flourish. It has taken time to get our Preschool to a 'Good' from Ofsted and we continue to maintain good practice every day.
Please read our Ofsted reports, I believe that they are a testament to the dedication of the staff at our setting and continued promise to continue to grow and improve for the benefit of the children and families in our local community.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Kyifé, Manager

I would like to add my thanks to you for all your hard work supporting the inclusion of children who are on the autism spectrum in the mainstrean setting. This is to be applauded and I thank you for your commitment to your role, staff in your setting and to the children and families in Nottingham City. It is so gratifying to me and to all the staff in the Autism Team, to know that we have such dedicated staff in Nottingham City Preschools.
